What courses do you teach? At the present time I teach MKT 350 Marketing Management & MKT 358 MKT Communications & Promotion In the past I have taught: Retailing, Sales, Sales Management, Consumer Behavior, MKT Strategy, and all Distribution classes. Why did you want to become a professor? After working as a Retail Buyer, Manager and co-owner of a communications training company, I decided that a career change was in order. I utilize my work experience and skills in the classroom. What is your biggest goal for AMA this year: I have several goals for AMA: - Increase membership - Effectively promote AMA so that the organization has a vital presence - Work towards implementing programs for enjoyable & valuable learning experiences - Increase attendance at local AMA luncheon meetings What is your favorite quote or expression: “Live, Laugh, Love, and Enjoy Life . . . it has an expiration date!” Also, as Confucius said: “Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” Email address: landonm@gvsu.edu |

What courses do you teach? Principles of Marketing and Retailing Why did you want to become a professor? I really enjoy the continual learning aspect of this job. Researching on interesting topics is actually really exciting, and then, you get to share what you’ve learned with students. But, the best part is building and cultivating relationships with students and colleagues. What is your biggest goal for AMA this year? I would love to see current AMA members become so excited about the group that it radiates from them, and consequently, attracts tons of new students.
